TCE Wins Pikes Peak! Todd Cook, owner of TCE, won the Mini Sprint Division on Pikes Peak. The event had a mix of good and bad as the weather which hampered the final run.
Beginning the week the TCE/Wells Coyote hovered at the top of the time sheets in both class as well as overall. When qualifying was done we’d not only seeded first in class but third of the Open Wheel class and Fifth overall on the Mountain! Not bad for a 325hp V6 compared to the other machines up there. This put the car on pace to better the current class record of 11:47 with the hopes of about an 11:30 run.
However, when race day came the schedules had all the PP race cars in the afternoon and we were hit with foul weather. Bad, nasty weather. Snow, hail, rain and cold weather. As a result the race distance was declared 'half way' as run in qualifying due to the soupy, muddy conditions on top of the mountain. While winning the class, hopes for a class record were shattered and will have to wait for next year. This being only the second time in history the race was shortened for any reason.

A big 'thanks' to Barry Trester and Gene Pacheco for all their work and support through the week!
