October 2004
With mid September came the end of the racing season for the TCE/Wells Coyote hill climb racer. The final event in the dusty mid part of South Park Colorado (yes, that South Park) where Todd Cook, owner of TCE put the final run in the books to claim the Colorado Hill Climb Association Super Sprint class championship for the second year in a row.
In addition to the Championship, the season produced five wins in five events and four new course records. Starting back in May of 2004 the goal was stated to set new records on all the race courses this year and only the weather at Pikes Peak prevented that one. In all it was a very good year as damages were minimal, roads were in good condition and goals were achieved.
I'd like to personally thank my wife Chris, Gene Pacheco, Barry Trester, Gary Morrell, Goodyear Tires, Wilwood, VP Fuels, and everyone else along the way for their effort and support in 2004.
Plans for a limited schedule in 2005 are under way.
