Testing out some a new front wing package as well as some other items, Todd Cook- owner of TCE, set the quick time on Saturday Qualifying surpassing even the V8 powered cars. Sunday runs netted a new record time for the Super Sprint class of 3:13.16 taking just a bit more than two full seconds off the the previous record also held by Cook.
"The car ran flawlessly. The course was very good compared to previous years too. We tried some different wing angles and pressures today that may have slowed the straight line speed down a bit to only 108 (from last year's 112) but we made up for it with some cornering grip rather than sliding around a lot in the corners. Thanks to Barry,Gene and Willi for their continued help. And to my mother for being my 'volunteer' this event!"
TCE is off to Pikes Peak for some test time there in two weeks with an eye on the win and record there this year as well.
