The TCE kit that started it all....

This kit has been in production since 1993 and is now offered only in non stock wheel form. TCE no longer offers the original SHOstopper rotor hat with its built in wheel spacer. Today we offer only one version of the SHOstopper: 13" x 1.10" using a lesser offset hat. We also require the customer supply either their knuckles for modification, replacements to be modified, or we will source and sell you a set at an additional charge- see notes below. Fits all 1989-1995 cars but requires use of '90-93 steering knuckles. Does not bolt onto '94-'95 knuckles!

Application: The current version of SHOstopper this kit is available now only in full 13" diameter and a full 1.10" width rotor. The popular FSL caliper can be replaced by an optional BSL6 or narrow body six model. More durable than the former kits of years ago this one is better suited for those with more Open Track uses than was the old one.

 

Fit: Requires 17" or larger, brake friendly wheels.

 

Notes: The BSL6 is available in two sizes: full body which is wider than the FSL and will require more room or wheel spacer or the narrow body six which is then about 1/4" narrower allowing more wheel fit. Both the FSL and full six use 20mm pads whereas the narrow body uses 16mm pads.

 

Knuckle and machining options:

  1. Customer supplies steering knuckles off their vehicle for re use. Machine work is done with hubs and bearings in place and returned as supplied. (cannot be powder coated)
  2. Customer supplies steering knuckles off their vehicle for re use. Hubs and bearings are removed, machine work is performed. Optional purchase of new hubs and bearings above. Optional powder coating.
  3. Customer supplies steering knuckles from alternate source. Hubs and bearings are removed, machine work performed and bare castings are returned. Optional purchase of new hubs and bearings above. Optional powder coating.
  4. TCE supplies steering knuckles from local wrecking yard. Hubs and bearings are removed, machine work performed and bare castings are returned. Optional purchase of new hubs and bearings above. Optional powder coating.
