US Orders: Orders may be placed via email or phone. Payments will be accepted by Invoice or the shopping cart only. We no longer take CC payments by phone. TCE accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover, and even Amex, Paypal, Wire Transfer, and Personal Checks w/15 day hold. If paying by credit card you may be billed the purchase price of your merchandise or a "depoosit only" at the time of the order. Prior to shipping you will be billed a second time for the Balance Due plus shipping and insurance fees related to the shipping of the merchandise. If paying by check TCE will supply you with a flat rate shipping fee ahead of time as close to the final cost as we can estimate it to be. TCE ships to verified addresses only. We will not ship to "Joe's Garage" or your "builder" without that address being linked to your payment.
International Orders: Shipments to Canada must be to a US desination. (waived for smaller flat rate envelope items) Shipments overseas to any other country will require the buyer expedite their own shipping. TCE will gladly box your merchadise safely and supply dimensions and weights for your carrier's needs only. We will NOT be responsible for arranging pick up, insurance, taxes, or extensive 12 pages of paperwork detailing the entire contents and country of origin of every item inside.... Please arrange with your carrier and have them contact us for a mutual pick up date and time. All out of country payments must ship to a confirmed address linked to your form of billing. Well will not ship to "Joe's Garage" or your "builder" without that address being linked to your payment.
Packaging and Receiving: We attempt to pack a reasonable amount of product into a reasonable size box. However some kits with excessive weight are shipped muti box. We believe that 50-55 pounds per box is ample. Upon receipt of your product You must inspect your merchandise for damages and report any findings to both TCE and the carrier immediately. DO NOT ACCEPT A DAMAGED BOX WITHOUT REVIEWING ITS CONTENTS IN FRONT OF THE CARRIER! Claims are tricky at times so note any concerns fully. Take pictures if you can to document any damages. As of Jan 1, 2021 UPS charges a flat $24 fee for all boxes exceeding 50lbs.
Shipping Policies, US Orders: TCE ships most packages UPS and USPS for smaller packages. We try to offer you the best price possible however UPS pricing changes constantly. For smaller parts such as brake pads USPS flat rate is a great option. All packages are insured for the full value of your purchase. Please specify a ship to point where the package can be received and not left at your door. Customers with UPS and FedEx accounts can arrange for third party billing. All shipments are sent "signature required" for both our protection.
International Shipping: TCE will gladly ship to other countries via USPS only. Postal shipments are usually the least expensive but Postal some services do not offer live tracking information. Customers are responsible for all duty and fees related to the importation to their country. Postal insurance options vary by country of destination. If using the Postal service your $1000 purchase may be limited to only $450 total insurance. If lost TCE will not refund any differences in under insured purchases. If the plane goes down...you get the insured value only. Not replacements.
Drop Shipments: TCE will offer Wilwood direct "drop shipments" on certain items or kits. Full kit orders will be subject to a $15 Wilwood applied handling fee. This remains cheaper than often shipping to TCE and forwarding to you the customer. Shipping prices will reflect this additional fee. Most smaller special orders will be added to our weekly stock order and expedited directly from TCE and not drop shipped unless requested.
Refunds, Returns and Replacements: TCE will honor returns on new and undamaged product only. Wrongly shipped items by TCE will be replaced free of charge upon receipt of the incorrect part. A "Call Tag" may be issued to expedite the return. Due to the stress and strains placed on racing products and the inability to monitor installation practices, TCE will NOT accept used, installed or user damaged product for return or replacement. TCE will replace any product returned (freight prepaid) unsuitable for use PRIOR to installation. If deemed faulty the part will be replaced free of charge.
Returns for Refunds will be subject to a 15% restocking fee- applied to merchandise only, shipping and other paid fees not included. Only new, properly handled, boxed and undamaged parts may be returned for refund. Parts found to be damaged as a result of return shipping, user handling or improper installation will not be granted a refund. It is the end user, installer, buyer and owner's responsibility to determine the suitability of the product for the needs of the application PRIOR to installation. Custom Built Kits: there are no returns or refunds on cusom built kits. *Returns on purchases noted as "FREE SHIPPING" will be refunded less restocking and actaul shipping costs incurred from the original order. Shipping is nerver really free...it's simply rolled into the final cost of the merchandise.
Abandon Merchandise or Projects: We require a deposit of a varying amount depending upon the final build cost this will be invoiced to you as a Deposit. The balance due for custom work (plus shipping) is due when the project is completed. You will receive an adjusted invoice for that amount. We expect any open balances to be paid in a timely manner. We will consider a project abandon after 90 days from issue of the first invoice or payment. At that time your contract with TCE will be terminated. Any personal property you supplied for the build will be considered abandon; discarded or sold. All custom TCE parts and supplies will be retruned to inventory. No refunds will be made, nor will any future credits be issued. We expect your committment to the project to be fulfilled as we have from here.
Group Buys: TCE does not support conventional Group Buy proposals. To receive a discount on multi product purchases at the lowest price a collective purchase (normally five or more) must be to one address, allow for bulk shipping and be prepaid with a check, money order or wire transfer. Five buyers with five different orders to five different address and paying with varying credit cards saves TCE no money so there are no considerations passed along to the buyer.
Dealers/Distributors: TCE will consider requests for being a dealer on a case by case basis. All first time orders are at full price unless the purchase quantity is greater than one unit. We are happy to work with those who want to sell the TCE product and will make arrangements to service your needs by shipping direct to your customer or you shop. Be aware that discounts on TCE kits are not huge as we are a "customer direct" business and do not work on large margins. All Dealer orders are on the same PREPAID basis as our regular customers. Company checks will be accepted. TCE does not offer terms.
Sponsorships: TCE is a for profit business and cannot afford to give away free product. We do however make allowances available to qualified applicants on a limited basis. Each situation is different; the participant may be involved in activities such as Car Shows, Track Events, or Auto-X. Each proposal will be reviewed on its own merit.
Referrals: TCE may offer to compensate customers for referrals in the form of product discounts or parts. Cash referrals are not paid.
